Carol Herndon- Piano

Carol Herndon became a piano teacher out of her love of music and of people. She gives beginners a foundation that takes the mystery out of making music on any instrument. She opens new avenues for self-expression for advanced students, who learn to practice effectively and passionately as they tackle challenging compositions.

She delights in unlocking the musical heart of every student, while providing a solid foundation on which to continue to explore and enjoy music for a lifetime.

Carol was immersed in music from an early age, listening to her mother teaching piano in her home, playing in her first recital at age two, and continuing through her college degree in music. During college, Carol studied with concert pianists Theodore Lettvin, William Harms, and Martin Canin. She is a teacher in a lineage tracing as far back as Liszt and Beethoven.
